Through nano-engineered speakers, microphones and transmission elements, the hand gesture used to indicate a phone call becomes the phone itself.

What will design be in the future? How will computers, TVs, interiors look like, how will we speak on the phone and how will we eat?
Project 4391, made in 2005, are visions meant to inspire. Some of them are probable, others less so. The scenarios include scenes in which we will paint everything with light, have intelligent house spirits, call by finger gesture instead of tapping on phone keypads, watch TV on contact lenses, buy computers like takeaway food and eat sweet memory candy after our pills. PAINT EVERYTHING
...with light. Displays are thin layers made of semi-organic substance and are merely sprayed on objects or painted on walls.
NOH HOUSE SPIRITS
Houses regulate atmosphere, temperature, and mood with house spirits – floating masks on the display walls in every room – all-seeing, protecting from intruders, and eagerly waiting for instructions from the house owner.
METAMORPHIC DEVICES
The form becomes merely a function for distinction and association.
DISSOLVING PHONE
Mobile phones, if they are not implanted, are now disposable. The circuit board is enclosed by reinforced jellyand can be dissolved in water and Alka Seltzer.
FOOD KEEPSAKE PLATES
For culinary inspiration, plates with printed food motives remind the user how food used to look like.
